CineDaily is a free daily movie guessing game. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Game state: your daily attempts, guesses, and game status are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Usage analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used. This includes pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location (country level). Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies and does not track individual users.
Ad-related data (planned): if Google AdSense ads are enabled in the future, Google may collect data to serve personalized advertisements based on your interests and browsing history.

We do not collect your name, email, or any account information unless you contact us directly.

We do not set cookies ourselves. Third-party services used by this site may set cookies:

Vercel Analytics does not set any cookies.
Google AdSense (if enabled) may set additional cookies to serve and personalize ads.

Vercel Analytics: collects anonymous, aggregate usage data with no cookies and no cross-site tracking. Governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Google AdSense(planned): may serve personalized ads. Also governed by Google's Privacy Policy above.
Supabase: provides the backend infrastructure for daily movie data. No personal user data is stored in our database.
TMDB (The Movie Database): provides movie metadata and images. No user data is shared with TMDB.

You can delete your game state at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage.
Residents of the EU (GDPR) or California (CCPA) may have additional rights, including access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data. Contact us for any such requests.

CineDaily is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as new features are added. Any changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
